This certificate curriculum in quality assurance and quality control microbiology and biology is designed to prepare students for careers in fields such as biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biologicals, food safety, biomanufacturing, and testing laboratories.
This program also develops essential job skills for microbiologists and lab technicians through the emphasis of essential soft skills and laboratory skills. Many university biology programs may not include these types of job skill courses as part of their curriculum. The General Microbiology course in this program transfers to the university and the laboratory and soft skills from all the courses are directly applicable to university research labs. This has been confirmed on numerous occasions from our former certificate completer who have enrolled in or completed university programs.
